Asha DeMarco launches her new 2008 Asha Couture collection
Asha DeMarco, the French-American swimwear designer who made waves with her very first collection in 2003, now
brings a fresh twist to her unique mix of high fashion and custom fit with the new ASHA COUTURE swim 2008
collection. This exciting swimwear and resort wear collection debuted along with her new luxury collection
ASHA DEMARCO at both the Miami Swim Show in July and at ISAM/Magic in August.
The response? Double the sales over last season!
The designer, whose signature "Dr. No" belted bikinis captured the industry's attention when they were featured in
Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue three years in a row, now creates a new color trend in swimwear - a rich,
earthy palette of flattering neutral tones with a subtle hint of color accents. Elegant European fabrics, luxurious
embellishments and a philosophy of "sexy without being too revealing," are designed to appeal to an upscale woman
who wants to be noticed but feel comfortable at the same time. It is not just the look, but Asha's attention to
detail and construction that is unrivaled in the industry.
Because every woman's body is different, Asha allows each woman to tailor her designs to suit their shape. Swimwear
is sized 4-12, accommodating bust sizes 34A - 36DD. "Straps are convertible, belts are adjustable, there are ties
instead of hooks and many cups are removable," the designer launching her fifth season explains. "And everything is
functional. Even the Cargo Hipster pocket holds a credit card or your hotel room key." The amount of options and
features are unprecedented in swimwear.
Ultimately, it is Asha's European design sense - unique subtle-toned prints from France, Italy and Spain, trims such
as shells and antique metals and her huge variety of body-flattering shapes-that turn heads. This new line is
devoted to the woman who wants to make a fashion statement while feeling confident that she is maximizing her
body's strengths.
